It is Friday, May 19, 2000 and here on the Vineyard it is raining, gray, and
blowing a chilly damp wind from the North East. The oak leaves are finally coming
out. It would be a great time to go around identifying the different type of
oaks we have here since the white oak and the red oaks but out in different
colors.
The apple trees are in full bloom and look pretty. It would be nice to put some pictures in here. It is a lot easier to insert a picture than it is to write the thousand words the picture is worth. I feel sort of frustrated because I don't have a way get my images into the only computer I have working right now in my upstairs studio. But if you don't have red use blue so let's look around for some images to look at.
I ran Jay's View 31 this week on my Cable show. It is amazing how much faster infants change than we adults do. Sophie was talking last fall, but I don't know how much information it was even trying to contain.
When I make sculpture sometimes I wonder how much information I want it to contain.
What is important? And then, it is going to be a different experience for each
person involved with it. That is part of the fun of making art, or anything
else, for that matter. Babbling on, but why not.
I
don't know why it is, but I want to play with this web way of communicating.
Like a lot of the things I try to learn, I figure I'll start at the bottom with
the little I do know and as I get comfortable with that then I'll move on to
learning how to do more. For example now we are just playing with test and images,
but watch out, one of these days we will make slide shows with pictures, songs
and talk. It should be fun.
Time to go have some lunch, and then do some real work.
