November 22, 2000 The day before Thanksgiving.
I've been giving thanks for the sun. The days are short and the sun is low in the sky but the light has been beautiful. The view from our bedroom window feels quite different now that the leave are on the ground instead of at the ends of the branches.
I like seeing my sculptures around. It makes taking a walk with Bebe more interesting. I finished welding Betzy's Spirit on July 11th 1995, the night my mother Betzy died. I had made a small maquette of this form back in the late seventies, but I never had a name for it.
For Thanksgiving Marianne and I are taking care of our grandchildren. I give thanks to having Sam in Sophia be a part of my life.
