Chilmark, Massachusetts, December 4, 2005

When I woke up and looked out our bedroom window I saw the first snow of this winter. A wonderful thing about having grandchildren next door is that you are forced to go out and play in the snow. It was a thick heavy snow that was perfect for making snowmen. I had wondered why we were saving the beer bottle tops. This snowman is obviously a merry old soul!

Time seems to be goind by so quickly. It feels like it was just a short time ago that we were dealing with some other creatures.

A year ago we were up in Cornwall Vermont, it probably was not there first snow fall of the year, but it was still good for Sam and Malia to make a new friend.

Below is a picture of another snowman back here with the sculptures on the Vineyard.
